Wayback Wednesday - 2004
What a year 2004 was. Year 6, close to finishing primary school. Getting crushes, swearing, what a year it was. I remember playing this song on the highest volume on the way home from school in my brothers car and him being totally annoyed because he would hear it at least 3 times a day.

Wayback Wednesday - 2001
What a year 2001 was! It rained so much this year, that our sports carnival got cancelled at least 3 times. This year was wonderful my days were easy, my lessons were easy and the sports I loved were challenging.
The little girl who sung this song (that I loved at this stage) burst onto the scene in 2000 at the Olympic Games, what a gem. People still call her an Australian Princess.
*WARNING*
If you do not wish to have a song stuck in your head for days do not listen to the song below (even just thinking about the song makes me sing it in my head)
In 2001 I would have to say my favourite song was Strawberry Kisses - Nikki Webster. Not only is it catchy and all types of wonderful, you can annoy everyone you know with just a little bit of singing!

Wayback Wednesday - 1997
As a child, I was a massive daddy's girl, which meant, when dad wasn't around I would be hanging off my older brother. In 1997, way back when, I would run around the house screaming for my brother to play this song because I thought it was the best thing ever (mainly because he would play it on repeat to stir my other brother).
Although at the time I did not realise this song had been originally released by somebody else, I still could not get enough of this song.
Looking back though, it was the most annoying, song I would ever hear in my life. It is one that just sticks in your head for days.
This week my song is Why Can't We Be Friends - Smash Mouth
What was your favourite song from 1997?
See you soon!!
P.S I am super sorry I did not update you at ALL last week, but my friend has been having an awful month and I just had to be there for her!

Wayback Wednesday - 2010
4 years ago in November I graduated high school (how crazy is that). As I've been looking at the music of the times in the Wayback Wednesday series, I've always had trouble trying to find something I listened to and enjoyed in my final year of high school.
I remember 2010 as being the year I really got into Taylor Swift. Like I had been into since I was 15 (so two years before) but I hadn't really WANTED an album or cared much about the music she made. But 2010 was a changing year for that. One of the songs that really got me changing was Mine. Which I related to Max and I. But I feel like that was just the starting point and it wasn't really a 'favourite' of mine.
However, I remember finding this song and thinking how awesome it was and how you could dance to it and sing along and not care what people thought about you. I just loved this song (and I still do, I still rock out). I feel like this song could play everyday with about 2 other songs and I would still love it.
This week my choice for Wayback Wednesday is.....
Story of Us - Taylor Swift

Wayback Wednesday - 2006
It's back! Finally. I have the time to sit and write this this week and I am so excited about the song I have.
The year is 2006 many 'drama' stars have started carers as singers as well as actors. I hated/did not know pretty much all of them. Except one. One who was in Neighbours (which I had NEVER watched) but this song would stick. Stick to me, stick to my best friend.
This song would be my jam for another few years. I'd buy the album just to hear more songs!

The song is Mistake - Stephanie McIntosh
Peace.

Wayback Wednesday - 2002
O hey there!
So I remember the first day I told my dad I wanted to listen to the 'real radio'. Like I obviously would hear popular songs often and know the lyrics. But during car trips we would listen to
the am station (it was the worst!!).
But I remember the very first song I was OBSESSED with and 2002 was that year
Avril Lavinge - Complicated
Love to you all

Wayback Wednesday!
It's that time of week again! And yes, in my last post I lied, I was going to post again, but I got busy with uni and things like that.
Although, it is now time for my Wayback Wednesday. This week at work we have been sorting out archives and they have been going back quiet a way, looking at pictures of people I graduated High School with made me just remember my primary school days. This week I thought it was fitting that we rewind back to 2005 - my final year of primary school (year 7 - age 12).
This week has been hard for me. While looking at songs that came out in 2005 and I have found so many that I just adored (I may even continue to sing to this day)!
However I think I have found the perfect song. It's something I (regretfully) say I used to love in 2005 and I really shouldn't have. I think it was just a "you're a rebel" stage which obviously didn't work. But I still sing this to my boyfriend today and I know every single word.
This week - My Humps - The Black Eyed Peas.

Wayback Wednesday!
Why hello there my loves.
My local radio station has this running program called "Timeline". I am sure you can guess what this does, but I better explain just in case. "Timeline" plays songs from the past and today they played from 2008. I had never realised how many songs from 2008 I just loved until today. Driving home they played at least 6 songs and out of those 6 songs, I loved 100% of them, both in 2008 and now.
Taking inspiration from that program, I thought I would start a weekly update on one of my favourite songs from a different year. These will be Wednesday posts, I promise.
This week it is Newton Faulkner - Dream Catch Me.
This song is just perfect and I could listen to it for days!
